I realize this was always a wedding song but I've never thought of it that way. I've always felt it to be a song about someone who knows they don't mind being alone but realizes they've found someone who they never want to be alone -- without. That you find someone to go the journey with.

This love song recording is as stripped down and naked as I could make it. The tone has a deep, lush feeling to it IMO with a crisp symmetry in chord progression.

This was recorded with 3 mics -- one for voice, two at the guitar (soundhole and mid-neck) -- and I was playing on a loaner Martin 000-28ECB. It was the 1st take and isn't beat perfect.
